A play-by-play commentator in the Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League and freelance journalist covering ice in Australia since 2010, Andrew has founded and co-founded multiple media platforms.
In 2025 Andrew launched 6ix Dub Hockey, a dedicated platform focused on covering and amplifying women’s ice hockey across Australia and beyond.
Passionate about growing visibility for the sport, Andrew created 6ix Dub Hockey to deliver in-depth news, player features, league coverage, and stories that highlight the talent, resilience, and community driving women’s hockey forward.
Through authentic storytelling and consistent coverage, Andrew is committed to building a stronger media presence for women’s ice hockey while connecting fans, players, and supporters to the game.
Alma Korajac – TikTok Manager
Hi, I’m Alma Korajac! I’m a passionate and ambitious 17 year old with a strong love for creativity, content creation, and all things sport. I enjoy editing content, capturing memorable moments, and creating fun, engaging videos that bring people together through shared interests and a love of sport.
Having studied at Westfields Sports High School, I’ve developed a deeper appreciation for sport, the communities it creates, and the opportunities it provides to connect people from all backgrounds.
I’m particularly passionate about promoting Australian sport through platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, using social media to grow audiences, share stories, and introduce more people to sports they may not have discovered otherwise.
My goal is to help bridge the gap between established hockey audiences, from the NHL to the AIHL, and the AWIHL. I want to use my creativity and passion for digital content to increase the visibility of women’s ice hockey, attract new audiences, and help create greater recognition and support for women in sport.
Rochelle Manning – Sydney Sirens Reporter
Hey! I’m Rochelle. I joined the ice hockey community a few years ago initially as a fan and now I am currently a player, goalie and referee.
I live and breathe the sport and I am truly passionate about developing women’s ice hockey in Australia.
Having grown up being a very passionate fan of many different sports, I know how important journalism and media is to the growth of sports. Seeing women’s sports leagues grow rapidly both here in Australia and overseas demonstrates just how important media is.
My goal is to help continue the growth of women’s ice hockey in Australia with a greater media presence with the ultimate goal of bringing in new fans to the AWIHL and inspiring young girls to play ice hockey. The more engagement and participation we have, the greater our game will be!
Isabel Lay – Melbourne Ice Reporter
I’m Izzy, a sports reporter and content creator with a strong love for storytelling and sharing the journeys of sports and their athletes.
Having recently graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Sport Management), I have a goal and passion in supporting women’s sport, in particular women’s hockey.
Sport has been a major part of my life and its ability to impact a community is a core reason why I continue to promote the stories and experiences for people to connect.
Sport has the strength to bring people together and I passionately aim to help amplify the women’s hockey landscape in Australia.
I want to share the stories of the athletes in the AWIHL, to establish a connection for fans to learn more about the players and invest in the game.
Figgers – Video Producer
Melbourne Ducks’ game day rink announcer & commentator (play-by-play, special
comments, reporter) of multiple hockey leagues around Melbourne, Figgers has been a
multi-disciplinary creative professional for over 2 decades.
Over the last 5 years, he has been able to harness these skills to focus on helping grow ice hockey around Australia, and let the rest of the world know how great the community is.
After seeing his first AWIHL game, he resonated with the grassroots mentality & gritty
passion of the players, coaches and fans.
This lead to pursuing an interest in commentary with his first experiences being special comments for a number of Melbourne Ice Women’s games in the 22/23 AWIHL Season, before lending his voice for home games of the Melbourne Ducks from 2025 to present day.
Figgers’ goal is to help amplify the skill, passion & personality of (what he champions to all who will listen as) “the best league in Australia”.
